The newly elected US President Donald Trump is making appointments to important positions in his government. Trump on Thursday Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been named the next US Health Secretary. He will have responsibility for the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Trump gave this information by posting on social media platform X.
Trump wrote in the post that-
Robert F. I am pleased to appoint Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). American citizens have long been oppressed by pharmaceutical companies. The safety and health of all Americans is a priority of any government. Under Kennedy's leadership, HHS will ensure that everyone is protected from harmful chemicals, pesticides and pharmaceutical products.
Donald Trump has won the 2024 presidential election. He will be sworn in as President on January 20 next year. Kennedy also claimed the Democratic Party's presidential nomination last year. This time he also contested the presidential election as an independent candidate.
After being offered the position of health minister in the Trump administration, Kennedy said to support Trump in the election.
Kennedy Jr. opposes vaccines Robert F. Kennedy Jr. 35th President of the United States John F. Kennedy's nephew. His father, Robert F. Kennedy was the Attorney General. Kennedy is also the founder of the Waterkeeper Alliance, the world's largest clean water advocacy group.
