Donald Trump may have benefited due to Elon Musk's open support in the American presidential election, but Elon Musk himself is suffering. Since Trump's victory, a large number of people are leaving 'X' (Twitter) and moving to a new social media platform called 'BlueSky'. Twice last week, more than 1 million people signed up on BlueSky in just 24 hours. However, the US election is not the only reason, many factors are responsible. At the time of this writing, BlueSky has a record 19 million (1.9 crore) active users. By the time you read this, this figure will be out of date. Just two months ago in September, BlueSky's users were 9 million, which has now increased to 19 million. This figure may seem small compared to the users of 'X', but people saw it as the beginning of the rise of 'BlueSky' and the downfall of 'X'. have been What is BlueSky? 'BlueSky' is a social media platform, which is becoming popular as an alternative to 'X' (Twitter). The way you can post, comment, like, follow and message on 'X', all that can also be done on 'BlueSky'. At first glance 'Bluesky' will seem like a copy of 'X'. Design, layout, feed, notifications etc. are all same as 'X'. Although looks similar to 'X' but the internal mechanism of 'BlueSky' is different. The biggest difference between the two is that 'BlueSky' is a decentralized social media platform. Which makes it different from not only 'X' but all other popular platforms. 'Bluesky' identifies itself and says, social media as it should be. What is Decentralized Platform? A decentralized platform is a system that is not fully owned by a single person or company. Instead, its control and data are distributed across different servers. 'BlueSky' is a decentralized platform, where users themselves decide where their data will be stored. They can save the data in their own private server if they want. Also, they have control over what will appear in their feed. Whereas 'X', 'Facebook', 'Instagram' etc. are all centralized platforms. Whose full ownership and control belongs to that company. This company decides what you see in the feed, where your data is stored and what happens with it. How did BlueSky start? In the year 2019, when 'X' was still 'Twitter' and 'Twitter' co-founder Jack Dorsey was its CEO, 'BlueSky' started. You might be surprised to know, but 'BlueSky' was originally a part of 'Twitter'. Its funding was also done by 'Twitter' itself. Seeing the lack of data centralization and user control on traditional social media platforms, Jack Dorsey launched a decentralized platform. That platform is 'BlueSky'. For the first four years, BlueSky was an invite-only platform, meaning you could only join if you received an invitation from BlueSky. How else is BlueSky different? Á Custom feed – means 'BlueSky' users can decide what will appear on their feed and how it will appear. In simpler terms, users can choose their own algorithm. For example sports, memes or photography. Also you can decide whether reply, repost or quote will be visible or not. (When on platforms like 'X' and 'Facebook' the company decides in the feed.) Á Custom Username – 'BlueSky' users can use the domain of a company or organization in their username. D. Kh. keval@Frontpage Insights.com. For which the company's server has to be used. Also the company has to do verification. Á No Advertisements – You will not see advertisements on BlueSky as it is an advertisement free platform. Because of the commercial influence, the user experience is very good and the value of good content. Á Moderation tools – 'BlueSky' will have a feature called Community Labeling. With the help of which misleading, fake or obscene posts can be labeled. So other users will understand by seeing the label. Also, you will get the option to mute or block list share with other users. Why are people leaving 'X' (Twitter)? Á ● Elon Musk made Twitter 'X' and made a lot of changes along with it. The biggest complaint of 'X' users around the world is that hate speech and hateful content is increasing on 'X'. The reason for which is the change in the content policy. Á ●People who were previously banned from 'Twitter', their accounts have been reinstated. Also 'Blue Tick' has been made paid. Due to which the blue tick of many celebrities also disappeared. Á ●Starting content monetization people are now posting junk to increase views and engagement. Due to this, instead of what is good and true content, the amount of garbage in the feed has increased. People are doing anything for engagement farming. Á ●Recently Elon Musk has changed the block feature of 'X'. Until now, it used to be that you could not see your posts if you blocked them. After this new change, blocked users will be able to see posts, cannot like or comment on them. Due to which many users are upset and are calling 'X' Tata bye bye. Á ●Another important reason is that Elon Musk has now openly entered politics. During the American presidential election, he openly supported Donald Trump. Besides, after the victory, they have also become part of the American government. Due to which now the supporters of Democratic Party are leaving 'X' and going to 'Blue Sky'. Á Apart from this, reasons like Brazil's ban on 'X', European Union's notice are also partly responsible. Now what next? Although BlueSky's users are growing rapidly, it is not easy to compete with an established platform like X. Another important thing is that people who are leaving 'X' and joining 'BlueSky' are mostly people from America and Europe. However, many celebrities, journalists, writers and leaders are also joining 'BlueSky'. You should try it too. Whether this race of 'Bluesky' is a hare or a tortoise will be known only after some time. }
