Motivational Story: Guest

A few days after the death of Nitin Joshi's father and mother, the children opened all the boxes and cupboards they had used. Expensive shirts, sarees given by children and grandchildren on special occasions, utensils, spoons, bedsheets brought from home and abroad, expensive jewelry bought for decoration when they went on tour and so on were seen arranged in cupboards without being opened or used. Broken utensils in the home kitchen, aluminum utensils, faded dinner plates, gray bed sheets in the bedroom all came to mind. If he had been told to take it and use it, he would have told us, 'How many would have been taken one by one when someone came!' Most homes have ceramic items that are stored in glass cabinets on the wall. Who is waiting for all this? A tablecloth with blue flowers folded to turn when a guest arrives? For whom are the shining vessels and glasses sitting motionless in every home? Do you want all your friends to do the same and use the expensive things stored when guests come to the house? One day you yourself will walk away from this earth as a guest, and the clothes and tablecloths kept like gold for ages will remain in the closet for your distinguished guests. Expensive bonsai crockery will lie in a dusty and dull cupboard. Yellow stains will also appear in the folds of the tablecloth. We all need to understand the truth that no guest bigger than us will come in the house. There is no festival bigger than our life. An endless wait for a guest is futile. What we lose is our precious life. God has given it to us. Time waits for no one. In a moment, we will all become pictures on the wall. So start living for yourself from this day. Create your own world with short tours, music, movies and books. The biggest guest in your life is yourself. May you enjoy every day of life and live till death.
