Crime Secret: Why did crores of looted rupees flow into the river?

Raj Bhaskar

On August 9-2016, 342 crore rupees of RBI was being transferred in a train going to Egmore, Chennai from Salem station in Tamil Nadu. Despite the deployment of 18 policemen for the security of the train, five crore and eighty lakh rupees are looted from the bogie by breaking open. Investigation goes on for almost a quarter of a year, mobile location, other suspects etc. are searched a lot but the criminals are not caught. Eventually a request is made to NASA for satellite images from that time period. Fortunately, NASA accepted the Crime Branch's request and sent pictures of the day and time of the robbery of Virudhachalam from Salem. Seven people appeared suspicious in it. Two people were sitting on the bogie looted. A person was giving something inside. Four others were standing at different places at a distance of twenty kilometers before Virudhachalam. People standing on top of the train were throwing money and four people standing far by the railway track were munching on it. Their faces were not clearly visible in the dark, but the mobile location was traced based on that. At the same time, a list of active mobile numbers was extracted from the area where four people were thrown money from the train. Those numbers were checked. There were seven suspects in the images provided by NASA and seven numbers were also found to be suspicious. These were the numbers which became active in Salem itself and stopped on coming to Virudhachalam. This number was not from Tamil Nadu or Chennai. All those seven numbers belonged to a village in Madhya Pradesh. NASA images of seven suspects, seven numbers, seven different states and switched off after only two hours of activity. The case was clear cut. The police immediately zeroed in on Madhya Pradesh. A large contingent reached Madhya Pradesh. Hindustan's biggest looter was so stupid that he bought those seven numbers based on genuine documents. Crime Branch reached the address. Among them, Dinesh Pardi and Rohan Pardi were caught immediately and the masterminds of this entire crime, Mohersinh Pardi, Rishi Pardi, Mahesh Pardi, Kaliya and Brijmohan were caught later. With his arrest, the secret of Hindustan's Great Train Robbery was revealed. There was something of a story. Among those who were caught, Mohersinh Pardi was the main one. He came to Tamil Nadu in search of work, but finding no work, he hit the Salem railway station. Meanwhile, it came to his attention that RBI money is transferred to Chennai every two months in Salem-Igmore Express. Knowing this, he thought of robbing the train. He called other comrades from Madhya Pradesh and started train reki. He and his companions traveled by train for ten days. Meanwhile, he learned that from Salem to Virudhachalam there is a diesel engine, the train does not stop during the 140 km and its speed is relatively low, only 70 km. So the train can be robbed in the meantime. After Reiki, he made a plan to rob the train. Bought a heavy electric cutter and planned how long it would take to cut train bogies and make money. He also decided where to station the four companions at different places in an area of twenty kilometers before Virudhachalam. After making a full proof plan, all the seven started waiting for the money to be transferred. After two continuous months of waiting, on 8th August-2016 the RBI money came to be transferred. There was a police presence at the station since evening. Big boxes were brought to the station with security in bogies and loaded into the bogies. Soon all these seven became active. Four people walked to a fixed place and three people got into the general compartment of the train. There was a tunnel in between and the three boarded the train. Since it was dark, no one knew anything and those people broke open the train, looted five crore eighty lakh rupees and ran away. But with the help of the crime branch's precise logic and the help of NASA, all the seven were caught. The police asked him where is five crore eighty lakh rupees. And in response came a startling revelation. Mohrsinh said, 'Sir, two crores of rupees out of which we poured into the river?' The police were shocked, 'Two crores in the river! But why?' Mohersinh replied, 'We looted money in the month of August. We thought we would quietly use it after six months. But that time did not come. On 8th November-2016, Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi stopped 1 thousand and 500 rupee notes and we, the robbers, were robbed. Of the money we looted, two crore rupees were of the same notes. For us it became two crore papers and the threat of police increased. So we threw that note in the river.' 342 crores looted five crore eighty lakhs from the running train, out of which two crore rupees were spilled into the river and NASA's help was taken to solve this case. Thus in all ways this case is becoming a strange crime case of Hindustan.
