Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has opened bookings for the Acti-e and QC1 from January 1. The company introduced both the EVs in India in Nov-2024. This is the company's first electric two-wheeler.
The Activa Electric can be booked at select dealerships in Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai, while the QC1 is available for booking in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chandigarh.
You will pay Rs. This can be booked with a token amount of 1,000. Pricing for both models will be announced at the Global Expo this month, while deliveries will begin in February. Both the EVs will compete with the Ola S1 range.
The Activa-E will get a swappable battery The Activa-E will have a swappable battery option and the QC1 will have a fixed battery pack option. The company claims that the Activa-E can achieve a top speed of 80 kmph and will travel 102 km on a full charge. Whereas, the QC1 will get a range of 80km on a full charge and a top speed of 50kmph.
Honda offers a 3-year/50,000 km warranty, three free services and complimentary roadside assist. This warranty offer is available to those who purchase the EV within the first year.
The Activa E has two batteries of 3kW capacity. Due to which it can be driven at a top speed of 80 km per hour.
Both the EVs will come with five color options The Honda Activa Electric & QC1 is an EV with an advanced and attractive design. Both EVs have the same design, only the rear wheel of the QC1 has a hub motor. Whereas, the Activa-e has an electric motor installed next to the rear wheel.
Both the EVs have LED headlamps in the front apron, which are highlighted with turn indicators and attractive LED DRLs. The bodywork is sleek with a mix of curved and straight lines. Both the EVs will have 5 color options. These include Pearl Serenity Blue, Pearl Misty White, Matte Foggy Silver Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black and Pearl Shallow Blue.
Performance: 0-60 kmph in 7.3 seconds For performance, the Activa-E has an electric motor mounted next to the rear wheel, which generates 8hp of power and 22Nm of torque. The company claims that the e-scooter can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in just 7.3 seconds.
It has three riding modes – Eco, Standard and Sport. The Activa-E is introduced with a 3kWh battery pack. It has two 1.5 kWh swappable batteries. The company claims that the e-scooter will run 102 kilometers on a single full charge.
Whereas, the QC1 has a BLDC hub motor mounted in the rear wheel, which generates 2.4hp of power and 77Nm of torque. The company claims that this scooter can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in just 9.7 seconds and has a top speed of 50 kmph. It will have two riding modes – Standard and Eco.
To power the motor in the QC1, a 1.5kWh fixed battery is provided, which will give a range of 80 kilometers on a full charge. It will come with a home charger, through which the battery can be charged up to 80% in 6:50 hours and 4:30 hours.
Hardware: 12-inch alloy wheels For a comfortable ride, the Honda Activa-E and QC1 feature telescopic forks at the front and 5-step adjustable hydraulic twin shock absorbers at the rear. For braking, the Activa-E uses a 160mm front disc and a 130mm drum brake at the rear, while the QC1 will have a 130mm drum brake at the front wheel and a 110mm drum brake at the rear wheel. Both the EVs get 12-inch alloy wheels on either side.
Features: 7 inch TFT screen with inbuilt GPS navigation Talking about the features, the Activa E has a 7-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, music control, inbuilt GPS navigation, day and night mode. Apart from this, like the ICE Active, smart key system, USB C-Type charging port and hook have been provided. The QC1, on the other hand, comes with a 5.0-inch LCD display, USB Type-C charging port and 26-litre under-seat storage.

A battery as a service program will also be available with both EVs. The company will soon offer Battery as a Service (BAAS) with both EVs, similar to carmaker MG Motor India. This is a battery rental program. Under this, the cost of the battery pack is not included in the purchase price of the electric car. Instead, money will be charged according to battery usage.
That is, the cost of the battery will be charged as a rental fee according to the number of kilometers you drive, which you will have to pay as an EMI every month, but you will have to pay separately for charging the battery. Both the EVs will initially be sold from Honda BeX showrooms in Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai.
