Fourth-generation Kia Carnival limousine to launch tomorrow: Luxury MPV to rival Innova Hicross with power sliding rear door and dual electric sunroof

Kia India is going to launch the fourth generation model of its most luxurious MPV Carnival Limousine in India on October 3. The Korean company unveiled this premium feature car on September 16.

Kia has started bookings for the MPV. Buyers can book it online from the official website or offline from a Kia dealership by paying a token money of Rs 2 lakh. The second generation model of the car is available for sale in India.

The price can be 40 to 50 lakh rupees The starting price of the 2024 Kia ​​Carnival could be between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). It can be optioned as a more premium option than the Toyota Innova Highcross (₹19.77 lakh – ₹30.98 lakh), and also as a more affordable luxury MPV than the Toyota Wellfire (₹1.22 crore – ₹1.32 crore) and the Lexus LM.

Exterior: One touch power sliding rear door The global model of the Kia Carnival was updated in 2023, but was not launched in India. Its fourth generation model has been given Kia's latest design language.

It includes prominent grille with chrome embellishment, vertically positioned 4-piece headlights and L-shaped connected LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRL). Overall, the design of the upcoming Carnival is similar to the Kia EV9.

The side gets one touch power sliding doors, which was also present in its second generation model. Flush type door handles will also be available here. The luxury car gets 18-inch alloy wheels and connected LED taillights, apart from this, a large electric dual sunroof will be available on the side.

Interior: 12.3-inch dual digital display The cabin of the Kia Carnival is similar to its global model. There is a three-row layout with a captain seat in the second row and bench type seats in the third row. The second row seats come with sliding and reclining second row captain seats with ventilation, heating and leg extension support. It will have a choice of two interior colors – navy blue and tan and brown.

The dashboard of the new-generation luxury car features a touch screen and 12.3-inch digital driver display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Here you will also get a head up display. For comfort, the car features an electrically adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support and an 8-way adjustable passenger seat.

The base limousine variant will get a dark blue/beige cabin and the top-end limousine plus variant will get a premium tan/black color scheme. Apart from this, 12-speaker Bose premium sound system, 3-zone automatic climate control, powered tailgate and ambient lighting will give a premium feel.

Performance: 2.2-litre diesel engine For performance, the 2024 Kia ​​Carnival limousine will be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine, which generates 193hp of power and 441Nm of peak torque. For transmission, the engine is tuned to an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The car will come with a front wheel drive option.
