From today i.e. from 1 September 2024, a commercial gas cylinder of 19 kg has become expensive by Rs 39. After August, once again in September, oil marketing companies have increased the price of LPG cylinders. From today, there have been changes in the telecom regulation that will prevent fake calls and messages. Apart from this, the reduction in aviation fuel prices may make air travel cheaper. Oil marketing companies have increased the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) per kiloliter (1000 litres) by Rs. 4,567 has been reduced. While in Rajasthan, the cylinder will be available for 450 rupees. 6 changes that will happen in the month of September… 1. Commercial gas cylinder becomes more expensive: Price increased by Rs 39, no change in domestic cylinder prices From today, a commercial gas cylinder of 19 kg has become more expensive by Rs 39. The price in Delhi has now increased by Rs 39 to Rs 1691.50. Earlier its price was Rs. was 1652.50. In Kolkata, it is available at ₹1802.50, up by ₹38, from ₹1764.50 earlier. The price of a cylinder in Mumbai has increased by Rs 39 from Rs 1605 to Rs 1644. In Chennai, the cylinder is available for Rs 1855. However, there has been no change in the price of 14.2 KG domestic gas cylinder. It is available for ₹803 in Delhi and ₹802.50 in Mumbai. 2. ATF Rs 4,567.76 cheaper: Air travel could become cheaper Oil marketing companies have slashed ATF prices in metros. It can make air travel cheaper. According to Indian Oil's website, ATF in Delhi costs Rs. 4,495.50 to Rs. 93,480.22 per kiloliter (1000 litres) has become cheaper. While in Chennai, ATF has become cheaper by Rs 4,567.76 to Rs 97,064.32 per kilolitre. In Kolkata, ATF was available at Rs 100520.88 per kilolitre, now it will be cheaper by Rs 4,222.44 and available at Rs 96,298.44. ATF price in Mumbai has dropped by Rs 4,217.56. It is now available at Rs 87,432.78 per kilolitre. 3. Changes in telecom rules: Fake calls and messages can be curbed The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has implemented changes in telecom rules from today to curb cybercriminal activity related to fraudulent calls and SMS scams. TRAI announced guidelines to telecom companies like Jio, Airtel. In this, they were directed to shift telemarketing calls and business messaging, especially calls starting from the 140 mobile number series, to a blockchain-based distributed ledger technology platform by 30 September 2024. After TRAI's strict guidelines, it is hoped that people can get relief from fake calls and messages. 4. In Rajasthan Rs. 450 cylinder: Benefit to NFSA-affiliated households In Rajasthan, households covered under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) will get a gas cylinder for Rs 450. In the budget, the state government announced LPG cylinders for Rs 450 to NFSA households with BPL and Ujjwala connections. Now about 68 lakh families will benefit from this decision of the government. Currently, the government is providing LPG cylinders at a subsidized rate of Rs 450 to around 70 lakh households (Ujjwala Connection and BPL). At present there are more than one crore 7 lakh 35 thousand families in NFSA list in Rajasthan. Out of the total families included in this NFSA list, about 37 lakh families are also included in the list of BPL or Ujjwala connection holders. 5. Free Aadhaar Update: Deadline extended to September 14, then Rs 50 charge Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the deadline for free Aadhaar card updating to September 14, 2024. If your Aadhaar card is more than 10 years old, you can update it online for free till this date. A service charge of ₹50 will be charged for updates after September 14. Free update service is available online only. 6. UPI & RuPay Card Rules: Transaction fees will not be deducted from reward points. As per the new National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) rules, transaction fees for RuPay credit card and UPI transactions will no longer be deducted from your RuPay Reward Points. Banks have been informed to implement this rule. No change in petrol and diesel prices: Petrol is available at Rs 94.72 per liter in Delhi today i.e. on 1st August, there has been no change in petrol and diesel prices. Currently, petrol is selling at Rs 94.72 per liter while diesel is selling at Rs 87.62 per liter in Delhi. While in Mumbai, petrol is available at Rs 103.44 and diesel at Rs 89.97 per litre.
