Some people vandalized a Durga Puja pandal in Hyderabad's Nampali. The accused also broke the hand of Durga Devi. The incident came to know on Friday morning when the organizers arrived for the puja.
Organizers said police were present till the Dandiya event took place on Thursday night. Information about when the incident took place is not yet available. However, the police say that the unknown persons moved the hundi (donation box) aside, due to which the hand of Goddess Durga's idol fell. Residents and staff of the Demonstration Society make an idol of the Goddess as part of the Devi Sharan Navratri celebrations every year.
First they cut the electricity, then they broke the CCTV Police and organizers said the accused cut the electricity before entering the pandal. After this they also broke the CCTV cameras installed there. Because of this, no footage of the time of the incident has come to the fore. The accused removed the barricading and threw away the objects of worship.
