Mahashanti yajna called Panchagavya Prokshan was performed to purify the Tirupati temple premises.
Mahashanti Yajna was performed for the purification of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple (Tirupati Temple) in Andhra Pradesh. 20 priests, including officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board, participated in the Panchagavya examination (purification) on Monday from 6 am to 10 am. Panchagavya purification of the laddu and annaprasadam kitchen was performed in the ritual.
Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu's party TDP on September 18 alleged that ghee containing animal fat and fish oil were mixed in the ladoo (prasadam) served at the Tirupati temple during the tenure of the YSR Congress government in the state. The next day TDP showed the lab report and claimed to confirm his allegations.
A meeting of Vishwa Hindu Parishad is going on here at Sri Lalita Peetham, Vasishthashram, Srinivasa Mangapuram. In this meeting, the issue of freeing temples from government control and conversion is also being discussed.
The state government has constituted an SIT to probe the Tirupati temple ladoos. CM Chandrababu Naidu said that action will be taken based on the SIT report.
Hindu saints from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and southern states have attended this meeting. VHP National General Secretary Bajrang Bagra and other officials are present in it.
The Deputy CM said – I am fasting, seeking forgiveness from God Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh Pawan Kalyan said- We should not remain silent when Hindu temples are desecrated. If this had happened in mosques or churches, there would have been outrage in the country.
Pawan Kalyan started 11 days of penance from Sunday (September 22). During this time they will fast. Pawan said- I regret why I did not know about the adulteration earlier. I feel sad. I will atone for this.

Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote a letter to PM Modi, said – Naidu is spreading lies
Former Andhra CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has written a letter to Prime Minister Modi requesting Naidu's reply on the prasadam controversy. Reddy wrote in the letter that an attempt is being made by CM Chandrababu Naidu to tarnish the sanctity, integrity and reputation of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
He wrote that Chandrababu Naidu is an incurable and habitual liar and has stooped to such an extent that he has hurt the faith of crores of people just for political purposes. The truth of the lies that have been spread must come to light. This will clear the doubts created in the minds of crores of Hindu devotees and restore faith in the sanctity of TTD.

He has been accused of damaging the sanctity of the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple and hurting Hindu religious sentiments following allegations of adulteration of ghee used in the famous Tirupati Ladoo Prasadam. A lawyer has filed this complaint at the Saidabad Police Station in Hyderabad.
The sentiments of Hindus have been hurt. This cannot be forgiven. Criminals should be severely punished. All their assets should be confiscated and anyone remotely involved in the process should be jailed.
