Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge will visit Maharashtra today. Rahul will inaugurate the statue of former minister Patangrao Kadam, who was the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, at Wangi here at 1 pm. Kadam passed away in 2018. After this, Rahul will hold a public meeting in Sangli around 2 pm. NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray have also been invited to Rahul's event, an associate of Mahavikas Aghadi. However, Uddhav will not attend the event. On the other hand, Congress included in Maha Vikas Aghadi won 13 seats, Uddhav group's Shiv Sena won 9 seats and Sharad Pawar's NCP won 8 seats. MVA won a total of 30 out of 48 seats.
