Kolkata rape-murder case, doctors to return to duty from September 21: Partial strike to continue; He said – If the demands are not met within a week, we will again agitate

Doctors are on strike since August 10. They have been protesting against Swasthya Bhawan in Kolkata since September 10.

After a 41-day strike against the rape-murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata on August 9, junior doctors have announced a return to work. Doctors gave this information in a press conference late on Thursday night.

He said he will join duty from Saturday, September 21. However, their strike will continue partially. Doctors said that our fight for justice is not over. We are giving a week's time to the Bengal government. If all our demands are not met within this period, the strike will be resumed.

According to the doctors, they will end their protest on Friday, September 20, outside the Swasthya Bhavan in Kolkata's Salt Lake. They have been on strike here since September 10. Doctors will march from Swasthya Bhawan to CBI office before ending the protest.

Then the next day they will return to duty in their respective colleges. The doctors said they would only provide emergency services for now. Medical camps will also be organized in the flood affected areas from Friday. However, the work of junior doctors in OPDs and cold operating theaters will remain closed as before.

Doctors demanding removal of Health Secretary The doctors have been on strike since August 10 regarding their 5 demands. The Bengal government held a meeting with the doctors on September 16. After the meeting, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that we have accepted 3 out of 5 demands of the doctors. He also appealed to the doctors to end the strike.

However, the doctors stood firm on the health secretary's demand to end the culture of intimidation in hospitals. The doctors held a two-and-a-half-hour meeting with Bengal Chief Secretary Manoj Pant on Wednesday, September 18, regarding their demands, but there was no result.

CBI said- Police did not seize important evidence for 2 daysThe CBI said on Wednesday morning that it took two days for the Kolkata police to seize the clothes and other items of accused Sanjay. The CBI said that Ghosh and Mandal also hurriedly cremated the trainee doctor, while the trainee doctor's parents demanded a second autopsy.

The victim's father said- 'CBI is doing its job. All those who are in any way connected with the murder or involved in tampering with the evidence are being investigated. The protesting junior doctors are in agony. They are like my children. It also hurts us to see them like this.

The day the accused are punished is the day we will win. Even in the year 2021, many complaints were registered against the former principal of the college, Sandeep Ghosh, if the Chief Minister had taken action against Sandeep Ghosh at that time, my daughter would have been alive.
