Because, everyone knows that Shivaji's support is necessary to win elections in Maharashtra. What is the whole incident of breaking the Chhatrapatri Shivaji idol? A 35-feet tall statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Rajkot Fort in Sindhudurg, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, suddenly fell and broke six days ago on Monday afternoon. The statue was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 4, 2023, on the occasion of Navy Day. The Maharashtra government entrusted the task of making this idol to the Navy, keeping the PWD in the middle. When the model of the idol was passed, it was specified that the idol would be 6 feet tall. But no one knows how it was made 35 feet high. A PWD official said that he had already written to the Navy on August 20 to inform that the idol was shaking due to the 45 kmph wind. It can fall anytime. The sea air has corroded its nuts and the steel structure that was supposed to be built is not even built. Navy received this letter and on August 26, Janmashtami day, the idol was broken.
