Complaint against Rahul in BJP's Election Commission: Said- Rahul says that BJP wants to trample the constitution, this charge is baseless

On 6 November in Mumbai, Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP of trampling the Constitution by citing the 5 guarantees of the MVA. (file)

BJP has filed a complaint against Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi to the Election Commission 9 days before the polling for the Maharashtra elections.

Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Monday said that Rahul Gandhi is spreading false propaganda against the BJP in rallies in Maharashtra. He said that Rahul had said in the November 6 rally that the BJP wanted to trample the Constitution. This allegation is baseless. Rahul tries to pit states against each other. He has flouted the constitution.

We have told the Election Commission that this should be stopped. Rahul Gandhi is used to making such baseless allegations. They do not hesitate to do so despite warnings and instructions. An FIR should be lodged against Rahul under section 353 of BNS.

4 more statements of Rahul… against which BJP approached the Election Commission

  1. If we look at all the industries and jobs, people from SC-ST community and minority community are not found there. People coming from poor class also do not get a place.
  2. If you want a job somewhere then become a member of RSS. This membership will get you job anywhere. It will not even look at what your qualifications are or what you are capable of.
  3. The factory where the youth were supposed to get employment was taken away from you, your land is being taken away from you.
  4. ED, CBI and Election Commission work at the behest of the Central Government. BJP uses these institutions to topple the opposition government.

Congress has also complained to the Election Commission

A Congress delegation filed eight complaints against the BJP to the Election Commission on Monday regarding the Jharkhand and Maharashtra assembly elections.

In which the BJP has been accused of sharing a picture promoting communalism. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh has mentioned the picture posted on BJP's 'X'.

Jairam Ramesh said- The picture wrongly shows that a person from the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes is taking a person from a religious minority community out of the rickshaw.

Jairam Ramesh said- The caption of this picture says that the appeasement game of Congress-led MVA is going on. This image incites people against a particular religion. The Election Commission has upheld our complaints.

In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP fell from 23 to 9 seats

Out of the 48 seats in Maharashtra in the Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party won 30 seats and the NDA 17 seats. In which BJP got 9 seats, Shiv Sena got 7 seats and NCP got only 1 seat. BJP has lost 23 seats. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, NDA won 41 seats compared to 42 seats in 2014.

Estimated loss of BJP according to Lok Sabha Elections

If the Maharashtra Assembly elections follow the same trend as the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP will suffer. BJP will be reduced to around 60 seats. At the same time, an opposition coalition survey projected MVA to get 160 seats. Maratha movement is the biggest challenge for BJP. Apart from this, people sympathize with Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar after the split between Shiv Sena and NCP.

Assembly Elections- 2019

  • In 2019, there was a BJP-Shiv Sena alliance. BJP won 105 and Shiv Sena 56 seats. NCP got 54 seats and Congress got 44 seats from the alliance. BJP-Shiv Sena could have easily come to power, but the alliance broke up due to differences.
  • On 23 November 2019, Fadnavis was sworn in as Chief Minister and Ajit Pawar as Deputy Chief Minister. However, both resigned on November 26 before the majority test.
  • On 28 November, Shiv Sena (undivided), NCP (undivided) and Congress' Mahavikas Aghadi came to power.
  • After this, there was a split between the Shiv Sena (undivided) and the NCP (undivided) and these two parties split into four factions. However, Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray gained in the Lok Sabha elections. Now the Assembly elections are also being held on this background.
