A search operation was conducted in Baramulla after the terror attack. The jawans checked all the vehicles passing through the area.
For the first time, a statement has come out from the army regarding the terrorist attack in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. The Chinar Corps, an army unit stationed in Srinagar, issued a statement saying – Pakistani terrorists want to create fear in the valley. They are now targeting Kashmiris. The attack on the workers in Baramulla is proof of that.
Army Spokesperson Lt Col MK Sahu said – When the army vehicle was fired upon, our jawans retaliated, forcing the terrorists to flee leaving behind their weapons and bags. They fled into the dense forest. The terrorists managed to escape due to darkness.
In fact, militants attacked an army vehicle near the LoC late on October 24. In which three jawans were martyred. Two porter workers also died.
Zahoor Ahmed Mir was buried on Friday.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid tribute to the martyred soldier on Friday.
Army said- The secret of terror in the valley is the ideology of terrorists Lieutenant Colonel MK Singh said – We salute the bravery of Indian Army Rifleman Qaisar Ahmed Shah and Rifleman Jeevan Singh. Both of them forced the terrorists to flee despite being shot. Due to the bravery of the two martyrs, no further damage was done. Both the soldiers showed great courage against Pakistan's terrorist agenda in Kashmir.
Zahoor Ahmed Mir of Boniar and Mushtaq Ahmed Chaudhary of Uri also made the supreme sacrifice while serving the country in this attack. Kashmir is steadily moving towards peace and stability, but Pakistani terrorists are deliberately targeting Kashmiri locals to spread terror in the valley. The only ideology of terrorists is 'reign of terror in Ghati'.
3 terrorists were involved in the attack According to army sources, more than 3 terrorists were involved in this attack. It is believed that the terrorists may have infiltrated from the LoC in the Bota Pathri sector of North Kashmir. The People's Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF) claimed responsibility for the attack.
