Varun Dhawan recently spoke about the release of his father David Dhawan's film Bade Mian Aur Chhote Mian. He said, 'The clash between Bade Mian and Chhote Mian happened from Karan Johar's film 'Kuch Kuch Hota'. I remember expressing my desire to watch Karan's film, which made my father very angry. He told me that I will leave you here on the streets of London.
Talking to Indian Express, Varun Dhawan said, 'Bade Mian Chhote Mian' premiered in London. I don't know why they did that there and the makers gave us a limousine (a big and luxurious car) with Govinda and Amitabh Bachchan's faces on it. We were driving through the streets of London in that limousine. But I wanted to watch 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'. I didn't even know Karan at that time.
Varun said, 'Mane Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' was a great movie. I told my father that I want to watch this film, so he told me, I will leave you here on the streets of London. I remember telling him you can't treat children like that. Apparently 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' got huge popularity. After all, it was Karan Johar who launched me.
