Malayalam actor Srinath Bhasi was arrested by the police on Tuesday in a road accident case. However, he was later released on bail. According to media reports, the car they were traveling in allegedly collided with a bike. Ernakulam Central Police said they registered a case against the actor following the incident last month.
According to information received, the victim was also injured in the car collision. Without giving details, a police official said Srinath was arrested on Monday based on a witness statement. However, he was released after questioning. Due to the hit and run case, Srinath's driving license has been banned for a month.
The name was also involved in the drugs case This is not the first time that Srinath's name has come up in legal matters. Earlier, the Kerala Police had also questioned Srinath in a narcotics case linked to notorious gangster Om Prakash. However, no case was filed against him due to lack of sufficient evidence. Meanwhile, Prakash and his associates were arrested for supplying cocaine at DJ parties in Kochi.
Talking about Srinath's work front, he recently gained a lot of popularity for his role in 'Manjummel Boys'. It was a blockbuster film. It became the highest grossing Malayalam film of all time with a gross of over 200 crores.
