An industry outsider who used to find auditions through Facebook and Google. The auditioners used to insult him saying that you will never be an actor. Sometimes even if films were available, they were removed from them at the last minute. However, such difficulties could not crush his dreams due to his self-confidence.
We are talking about actor Karthik Aryan. The success story of Karthik, who hails from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh and became one of the biggest actors in Bollywood, is quite interesting. We are saying this because they have not received any support to reach here. He is where he is today because of his years of struggle and determination.
A story from struggle to success, in Karthik's own words…
Parents doctor, but the situation was not good Karthik comes from a middle class family. Although his parents are doctors, the financial condition of the family was not very good. The parents had to make many sacrifices to provide for the needs of Kartik and his sister.
This is the reason why Karthik gets a lot of motivation from his struggles. He considers his mother a fighter and is following in her footsteps.
As a child, I could not think of anything other than doctor and engineering As Karthik's parents are doctors. Apparently, from childhood he was also told to either become a doctor or do engineering. However, Karthik was interested in films. He said, 'As a child, I used to say that I want to be a doctor or an engineer.
However, I don't realize when I started leaning towards acting while watching movies. I used to watch movies a lot in my house. Every weekend my sister and I used to sit in front of the TV. In childhood we had only two or three jobs. Watching movies, sports, going out and playing.
Went to Mumbai on the pretext of studies As Karthik grew older, his interest in acting grew. Karthik decides that he has to enter the world of acting somehow, but for this he has to travel to Maya Nagri in Mumbai. Also needed an excuse to go there. Karthik was carrying clothes with him. Look for a washroom somewhere at the audition venue so that we can change clothes there. Karthik was also prevented from auditioning several times. Just because he got there directly without any reference.
Also worked in Ad film, getting rejection was heartbreaking Karthik said that before entering the industry, he also worked in many ad films. Here too he had to struggle a lot to get work. He would just stand in front of the camera holding a board. No big role was available. Also faced many rejections. Many times Karthik was discouraged. He was also crying.
A fatal accident happened on the day the film was received That time was between 2010-2011. Karthik's stars began to shine a little. He somehow managed to audition for Luv Ranjan's film 'Pyar Ke Panchnama'. Got selected in the audition there. However, he met with an accident while returning from there.
He said, 'While returning from the audition, the rickshaw I was sitting in overturned. I had a fracture in my leg. It felt like all dreams were shattered there. I started thinking that I got the film with so much difficulty, how can I shoot now. I was afraid of being dropped from the film. However, when I requested the film's production team, they extended the schedule by a few days.
After doing two films, he did 'Pyar Ka Panchnama' where he lived in a PG with 12 people. Both the films got him significant recognition. Especially his 5 minute monologue in 'Pyar Ka Panchnama' became very famous. However, even after doing two films, Karthik continued to struggle. He was still living in the same PG with 12 other people. The friends Kartik lived with were mostly struggling artists. Karthik could not ask his parents for more money either. So sometimes he used to borrow money from friends for his expenses.
Success in 2018 Karthik got success with the film 'Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety'. The film had a box office collection of over 100 crores. After this film he started getting big films. During the Corona period, 'Bhool Bhulaiyya 2' grossed over 260 crores and established Karthik as a professional actor.

It was difficult to fulfill this dream initially as the city was expensive. However, after finding some success, he first bought a house in Mumbai, where he now lives with his parents.
On the comparison with Akshay, Shahrukh said – I can't touch the level of both of them Karthik is compared to Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar. Like these two superstars, Karthik is an outsider and is currently one of the biggest actors in the industry. Although viewers and fans compare Karthik with Shahrukh and Akshay, Karthik himself has a different opinion on the matter.
He said, 'I have no comparison with Akshay and Shahrukh sir. Both have had a great journey. These two have ruled the hearts of people for many years. I myself am a fan of both of them. I can't touch his level. Yes, I also have viewers who like me. I try to entertain them as much as possible.
