Kangana speaks on Hema Committee report: Says, 'I raised my voice for women, when I spoke the truth, people wanted to send me to jail'

Kangana claimed that the industry had turned against her after this action. Said, 'I was trying to create some pressure, but everyone's voices fell silent. If this report had been published, the entire industry would have been united. I was alone in this, people even filed cases to send me to jail. After the Hema Committee report, many actresses leveled serious allegations against the actors. There have been allegations of sexual exploitation of female actors in the Malayalam film industry for quite some time now. A 3-member committee headed by retired Justice Hema was constituted in 2019 to investigate this. After 4 years, on 19 August, the Hema committee handed over a 233-page report to the Kerala government, which exposed exploitation by several big actors. Ever since the Justice Hema Committee report came out, actresses in the Malayalam film industry have been constantly accusing many big actors and filmmakers. Ban on the release of Kangana's next film 'Emergency' Kangana is in discussion these days about the film 'Emergency'. Kangana recently said that the release of her upcoming film 'Emergency' has been put on hold. The CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) cleared the film, but the certification was later put on hold. This is because there are so many death threats.
