Writer-poet Gulzar, who has won several prestigious awards from Jnanpith to Oscar, has had a colorful life. The occasion was the release of the English version of the book 'Dhoop Ane Do'. Gulzar sahib registered his presence in this program. In a way, the book 'Dhoop Ane Do' can be considered as his autobiography. The pages of this book are filled with his life experiences and events. Originally written in Marathi, this book has been translated into English. Famous writer Ambarish Mishra has translated it into English. Gulzar Sahib used to write for a Marathi magazine, the chapters written there were collected in a book. Ambarish Mishra talks about the genesis of this book. He said, 'Many special issues were released in Marathi language during the festival. A regular riturang was released on the occasion of Diwali. Gulzar Sahib has written for this magazine for 33 years. For this he used to write an essay every year. Apart from this, he used to write his thoughts about many other personal and social events. He used to communicate in Urdu with the editor of Riturang. His words were translated into Marathi. It has now been translated into English, for which I am responsible. Ambarish also said, 'I am very excited about the launch of this book today. Although I don't enjoy writing in English, it was a pleasure to work with Gulzar Sahab. He has weighed every word and placed it in this book. Whatever the language, the essence should not change. Gulzar sahib said that translation is only of words, not of thoughts. People misunderstand this. Whatever the language, the essence should not change. The partition is of the land, not of the people. The pain Gulzar Sahib faced during partition is also mentioned in this book. He said, 'I have suffered the pain of separation. There should never be division. However, let me tell you one thing that the distribution is always of land and not of people. Better not to talk about this in today's times. Gulzar sahib said that there are many incidents related to him in this book, he cannot give special status to anyone. This book is written from the heart. The book also contains some rare photographs, which depict the life journey of Gulzar Sahab. There are many incidents in it, which have brought about a radical change in the life of Gulzar Sahib.
