Sensex falls over 200 points: Nifty also falls 50 points, banking and FMCG shares fall

Today, the last trading day of the week, September 6, is seeing a decline in the stock market. The Sensex is trading at 82,000, down over 200 points. The Nifty is also down 50 points, trading at 25,090. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 17 are falling and 13 are rising. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 28 are falling and 22 are rising. Among NSE's sectoral indices, banking and FMCG shares are trading with losses. The IPO was subscribed a total of 6.53 times on the first day. The IPO was subscribed 8.24 times in the retail category, 4.46 times in the qualified institutional buyers (QIB) category and 5.29 times in the non-institutional investors (NII) category. The company's shares will be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on September 12. Sri Tirupati Balaji Agro Trading Company seeks to raise a total of ₹ 169.65 crore through this issue. For this, the company is issuing 14,750,000 new shares worth ₹122.43 crore. Whereas, existing investors of the company are selling 5,690,000 shares worth ₹ 47.23 crore through Offer for Sale i.e. OFS. Yesterday, the market saw a decline. Before that, the stock market saw a decline yesterday, ie on 5th September. The Sensex closed down 151 points at 82,201. At the same time, the Nifty also fell 53 points to close at 25,145. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 declined and 9 rose. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 33 declined and 17 advanced.
