Trump made 27-year-old Caroline press secretary: the youngest to hold the position; She was also the national press secretary of Trump's campaign

​​​​​​​​The newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, is preparing his team for his second term. On Saturday, he selected 27-year-old Carolyn Levitt for the position of White House press secretary. Caroline will be the youngest secretary to hold the post. Earlier in 1969, President Richard Nixon made 29-year-old Ronald Ziegler his press secretary.

Carolyn was also the National Press Secretary for Trump's campaign in the current presidential election. Apart from this, he has also held the post of Assistant Press Secretary during Trump's last tenure (2017-21).

Announcing Caroline's name, Trump said – Caroline Levitt did a great job in my historic campaign. I am pleased to say that she will serve with me as White House Press Secretary. Caroline has proven to be a smart and effective communicator. I am confident that he will help get our message across to the American people as we make America great again.

Who is Caroline Levitt?

Caroline Levitt is a resident of New Hampshire, USA. He has interned at the White House. After Trump lost the 2020 presidential election, Levitt became communications director for Republican politician Elise Stefanik. Ellis has now been chosen by Trump to represent him at the UN.

In 2022, Levitt ran for the House of Representatives (the lower house of the US Parliament) from New Hampshire. However, he lost the general election to Chris Pappas of the Democratic Party. After this, he was involved in Trump's presidential election campaign this year. Currently, Carolyn Levitt is the chief spokesperson for President Trump's team.

Caroline Levitt gave birth to a son in July 2024.

The White House press secretary briefs the American people on the President's work. Meanwhile, the press secretary has to win the trust of the media by giving the necessary information. Apart from this one has to maintain loyalty towards the President.

Trump had 4 press secretaries during his last tenure

Four people held the position of White House press secretary during Donald Trump's first term. First, Sean Spicer was removed from his position after only 6 months. He falsely claimed that Trump's inauguration was the most watched in 2017.

After this, Sarah Sanders took over the position. Trump also praised his work. Stephanie Grisham became the third press secretary to never hold a press briefing at Trump's behest.

Grissom resigned on January 6, 2021, following a siege of the White House by Trump supporters. Now Grisham is anti-Trump. Kelly McEnany was the last White House press secretary during Trump's tenure. Now he works for Fox News.
