Mood and Mind: The festival that brings people together is Diwali

Dr. Spandan Thacker

Branch had been very depressed for some time. Temperament was previously a bit fierce but also very emotional. Once something small comes to mind, it does not go away easily. In common parlance it can be said that there was a slight ego problem. He who feels something is wrong with him should not speak until he is convinced. Due to which none of the relations lasted long. This nature was inherited from his mother in his genes. Finally, after an argument with mom over some small matter, both of them were not talking to each other. After that he stopped going home. At the same time, the stress level increased due to some other issues at the workplace. Now it was such a situation that I didn't feel like going home and I didn't enjoy work. In this state, one would remember home but the inherent ego was stopping it somewhere. So, even though there are many people, I feel lonely. A person feels a different kind of loneliness when there are people around him but there is no one who understands him with whom he can open his mind. He begins to feel that he is the most alone in the world. Life gradually becomes dull. These traits were growing in Visakha's nature. Lack of concentration in work, sleeplessness at night, appetite was also reduced, anger comes quickly and sometimes thoughts of self-harm come. In the counseling sessions, the psychologist advised her to go home and talk to her mother several times, but somehow Vishakha was holding herself back. When there is an opportunity for reconciliation right in front of a person, but the ego stops it, the person becomes very confused. In this situation anxiety starts to increase. As Diwali approached, vacation fell in the work. Everyone went on holiday. Meanwhile Vishakha broke up from within. Now there was no one in sight. On the day of Diwali, he suddenly received a call from his mother. Mom stopped saying it would be good if she comes home today. Vishakha started crying. Mom immediately understood the whole situation. Visakha reached home the next day. It felt as if all bonds were broken in one day. The word ego is a delusion created by one's psychology. Breaking it often takes a lot. Our festivals are a positive factor to break these bonds and connect with relatives. Some festivals are an excuse to bring close friends and relatives together. Mood Mantra: Home is the most positive place when the whole world has turned against us.
