Apple devices are considered very secure and it seems impossible to detect any security flaws. The company has now asked people to find a flaw in it. For that, the company has also announced a huge amount of reward. The company is currently running a bug bounty program. Under that, if someone hacks Apple's AI server system, he will get a chance to win a prize.
The company is offering a reward of up to 1 million dollars (about Rs. 8 crore) under its bug bounty program. This reward is for people who can hack into their Private Cloud Compute (PCC). Notably, PCC is a server system that manages advanced artificial intelligence (AI) tasks independent of the capacity of on-device processors.
Apple demonstrates the company's commitment to security. Which motivates researchers to find loopholes so that they are not misused. The program includes different tiers of rewards, including a $1 million reward for those able to run malicious code on the server and smaller rewards for those who find other types of flaws.
How will the test be conducted? Apple will provide access to the source of key components of private cloud computing. With its help, it will be easy for the researchers to understand the technology software. Apple will give ~ 2 crores if some kind of private cloud computer is hacked and the data requested from the user is known. Apple will give ~ 8 crores if the server is somehow attacked and infected with a virus.
