When Guru Dutt met Waheeda, he was already married. Guru Dutt was married to famous singer and actress Geeta Dutt. When their married life was happy, Waheeda Rahman entered Guru Dutt's life. Waheeda Rahman did many films in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Malayalam languages. At that time, the name Waheeda was doing the rounds in Telugu cinema. In Hyderabad, Guru Dutt saw Waheeda's skillful and trained dance. Fascinated by this, Guru Dutt gave Waheeda an opportunity to act in Hindi cinema for the first time for the film 'CID'. In the year 1957, the pair of Guru Dutt and Waheeda appeared in the film 'Pyasa'. This film created a new revolution in Hindi cinema. After the blockbuster success of 'Pyasa', Guru Dutt could not imagine any film without Waheeda. Guru's friend Abrar Alvi has recorded this in his book '10 Years with Guru Dutt'. Wife Geeta Dutt and Waheeda's family had a big objection regarding Guru Dutt and Waheeda's love affair. When Guru and Waheeda's love went out of control, wife Geeta Dutt came to know about it. Like a normal wife, anger flared up in her mind. Geeta and Guru's married life went up in flames. There were frequent quarrels between the artist couple. Gita asked Guru to choose between the two. Tired of wife Kajia, Guru Dutt became more and more attracted to Waheeda Rahman and Geeta Dutt and Guru Dutt's married life had a major rift. Wife Geeta Dutt left Guru. Meanwhile, Guru Dutt and Waheeda Rahman worked together in many films. Their pairing was highly appreciated by the audience. In films like 'Chaudahvi Ka Chand', 'Kaagaj Ke Phool', the audience appreciated this pair onscreen. Guru Dutt and Waheeda Rahman were shining stars of acting but had to face many difficulties in their relationship. However, Guru Dutt's entire family was against his love. Waheeda was a Muslim so her family did not approve of this relationship. When both their families protested, Guru Dutt distanced himself from Waheeda Rehman and Guru Dutt began to get drunk in Wahali Waheeda's gam. Even Guru Dutt and Waheeda did not see any beautiful and bright future for this relationship. Finally, Guru Dutt and Waheeda Rehman separated from each other in the sixties to save their crumbling married life. Earlier, his wife Geeta had also separated from him. Guru Dutt longed to meet his children, but Geeta Dutt was so angry with him that she did not allow him to meet the children either. Guru Dutt loved his daughter very much. In his lonely life, Guru Dutt used to miss his beloved daughter. Guru Dutt often spoke of giving up his life to his friend in periods of loneliness. At the last moment, he gave an ultimatum to his wife in a drunken state that if she does not let him see the face of his little daughter, he will see my dead body. However, friend Abrar Alvi knew that Guru Dutt often talked to him about various methods of suicide. Suffering from terrible loneliness, Guru Dutt was found dead in the bed room of the house. How he died remains a mystery to his fans. Finally, on the afternoon of October 10, 1964, it was learned from Guru Dutt's friend that Guru Dutt had left the world. The secret of Guru Dutt's death is not known till today. }
