Prohibition on manufacture, storage, sale and bursting of firecrackers has been imposed in Delhi.
To control air pollution in Delhi ahead of Diwali, the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has banned firecrackers till January 1, 2025.
Manufacturing, storing, selling and bursting of firecrackers is prohibited as per the government order. Not only this, online delivery of firecrackers has also been banned. This also includes green crackers.
Delhi Police has been entrusted with the responsibility of strictly enforcing this ban. Delhi Police will submit its daily report to DPCC.
However, the Delhi BJP questioned the rationale behind the ban on firecrackers. Also accused the Aam Aadmi Party government of implementing it without presenting any scientific evidence.
Firecrackers have been banned in Delhi till January 1, 2025.

The use of coal and wood has been banned in hotels and restaurants. The commission has directed agencies to strictly monitor old petrol and diesel vehicles (BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel).
The commission has also asked agencies to increase the use of anti-smog guns, water spraying and dust repellent techniques in road construction, renovation projects and maintenance activities.

The Chhattisgarh administration on Monday announced new guidelines for the sale of firecrackers during Diwali. There will be a total ban on the sale of firecrackers with a sound level of more than 125 decibels. Permanent firecracker shops cannot keep more than 400 kg of firecrackers at a time and temporary firecracker shops cannot keep more than 100 kg.
