South actress Soumya said- Director kept me as a sex slave: Said- I rapped for a year, but he used to call me daughter in front of the world.

Actress Soumya has accused the Tamil director of mental, physical and sexual abuse. Soumya said that the director used to stick the rod in her private part for entertainment. It took him 30 years to recover from this incident. He said that all the victimized women should raise their voice against such exploitation. In an interview given to NDTV, Soumya said- I was 18 years old when I met the director. On one hand, the director used to call me his daughter and on the other, he used to rap on me. Later things got so bad that he wanted a child from me. The director was using me like a sex slave. However, Soumya refused to reveal the director's name. He said he would reveal the director's name before the special police team, which has been set up by the Kerala government after the Hema Committee report. 'The director raped me for a year' Soumya continued, 'One day when the director's wife was not at home, the man kissed me calling me daughter. I was totally shocked. I wanted to tell this to my friends, but couldn't. I was ashamed thinking that I had done something wrong. Even after this I continued to practice dance rehearsals and other things. Gradually the man began to take advantage of my entire body. He raped me. All this went on for a year. In a way, he played with my mind. Soumya said- the director's daughter also accused her of rape. The director's daughter accused him of rape and left. The director and his wife denied the allegations. He took me to his house. At first he treated me very well. I craved good food and milkshakes. Soumya was afraid of the director during the shoot. Soumya also revealed that she was not comfortable with the director initially. He said, 'I said this in the first meeting itself. However, I was bound to work in his film. The director didn't talk to me during the first outdoor shoot. Initially, the agreement stated that his wife would direct the film, but in reality the director was directing the entire film. That way I was completely in control of it. He behaved with me in a way that men usually show anger by remaining calm. I was very scared of them.' 'Seeing actress Revathi made me want to do films' said Soumya, 'I was 18 years old and in my first year of college. I come from a background where my parents knew nothing about films. An offer to work in Tamil films came at the college theatre. I was very inspired by Revathi, an actress who lived near my home. This is the reason why I agreed to screen test for the film.' After the Hema Committee report, many actresses leveled serious allegations against the actors. There have been allegations of sexual exploitation of female actors in the Malayalam film industry for quite some time now. A 3-member committee headed by retired Justice Hema was formed in 2019 to investigate this. After 4 years, on 19 August, the Hema Committee handed over a 233-page report to the Kerala government, which exposed exploitation by many big actors. Ever since the Justice Hema Committee report came out, actresses in the Malayalam film industry have been constantly accusing many big actors and filmmakers.
