Country's Monsoon Tracker: MP-Rajasthan Flood-Landslide Alert; 8 deaths in 24 hours in Andhra; 55 ghats collapsed in Varanasi

5 people have died in a landslide in Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada after heavy rains. Also, 3 people have died due to drowning in an overflowing canal in Guntur. The water level of Ganga has increased in Uttar Pradesh for the last 7 days. 55 ghats of Varanasi have overflowed into the Ganges. Ganga is flowing above alarming mark in Ballia. The Meteorological Department said that the north-western part of the country received 253.9 mm of rainfall in August. This is the second highest rainfall since 2001.
