Alcaraz's 15th straight Grand Slam win: Beats Australia's Li Tu, Evans-Khachanov match record lasts five and a half hours

Spain's Carlos Alcaraz has reached the second round of the US Open. The 21-year-old Alcaraz defeated Li Tu of Australia in four straight sets in the first round on Tuesday. Alcaraz defeated Li Tu in four sets 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1. This is Alcaraz's 15th consecutive win at any Grand Slam. Evans-Khachanov match lasts five and a half hours On the other hand, Britain's Dan Evans defeated Russia's Karen Khachanov 6-7, 7-6, 7-6, 4-6, 6-4 in a match that lasted a record 5 hours and 35 minutes. It was the longest match in US Open history. Earlier in 1992, the semi-final match between Stefan Edberg and Michael Chang lasted for 5 hours and 26 minutes. Easy win for Osaka-Swietek Naomi Osaka, Iga Swietek won their respective women's singles matches at the US Open. Osaka, who returned to court after a long absence, defeated 10th seed Jelena Ostapenko 6-3, 6-2. For the first time in four years, he has beaten a top-10 player. Top seed Iga Svitek defeated Kamila Rakhimova 6-4, 7-6. Djokovic and Alexander Zverev also win Earlier on Monday, defending champions Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev also won their respective matches in the first round. Serbian star Djokovic defeated Radu Albot of Moldova 6-2, 6-2, 6-4. Meanwhile, 2020 US Open runner-up Alexander Zverev of Germany defeated compatriot Maximilian Martener 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 6-2.
