England cricket team's star batsman David Malan has retired from international cricket. Apart from Jos Buttler, 37-year-old Malan is the only England player to have scored a century in all three formats. Malan is ranked No.1 in the T-20 rankings. Malan was dropped from the England squad after the 2023 ODI World Cup. He was not part of the team even in the series against Australia. For this reason he has decided to retire. Malan's international career Malan played 22 Tests, 30 ODIs and 62 T20 Internationals for England. He also became the number-1 batsman in T-20 cricket. In Tests, this England player scored 1,074 runs at an average of 27.53. In ODIs, he scored 1,450 runs at an average of 55.76. In T-20 he has scored 1,892 runs at an average of 36.38. Malan scored 1 century each in Tests and T20s and 6 centuries in ODIs. Debut in 2017 Malan played a 44-ball 78 on his T20 International debut against South Africa in 2017. After this, in the Ashes, he scored his only Test century of 140 off 227 balls in partnership with Jonny Bairstow in Perth. Malan has also appeared in IPL Left-handed batsman Malan has also played in IPL. Malan was made a part of the team by Punjab Kings in the year 2021 for Rs 1.5 crore. However, he got a chance to play in only one match. He has 26 runs in the IPL.
