Ukraine wants to hold peace conference in India: Zelensky said – spoke to PM Modi, ready to invite Russia too

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that another peace conference should be held in India to resolve the Ukraine war. Zelensky has also spoken to PM Modi about this. In fact, Ukraine is trying to ensure that the second peace conference is held in Global South countries. Talking to Indian journalists, Zelensky said that apart from India, talks are also underway with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey to host another peace conference. Zelensky said, the peace conference will be held only in the country that is interested in it. Earlier in June, the first Ukraine peace conference was held in Switzerland, in which Russia did not participate. Now Ukraine is once again pushing for a peace summit to put forward its own terms for peace and include representatives from Russia. India does not sign Ukraine Peace Conference A two-day (June 15-16) peace conference was held in Switzerland to find a way to stop the Ukraine war. Ukraine sent invitations to more than 160 countries, but about 90 countries participated. Some countries including Russia, China, Brazil did not participate in it. A joint statement was issued on the last day of the summit, signed by more than 80 countries. While 7 countries including India, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand, Mexico and UAE have not done so. Interestingly, this joint statement was also signed by Turkey, which is on Russia's side. Modi invited Zelensky to India Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ukraine on Friday amid the two-and-a-half-year-old war between Russia and Ukraine. In an interview with President Volodymyr Zelensky here, Modi said that India has always been in favor of peace. I met Russian President Putin a few days ago. Then I turned a blind eye to the media and said this is it. There is no time for war. Modi and Zelensky met for about 3 hours at Mariinsky Palace in Ukraine. He invited Zelensky to come to India. Modi also accompanied Zelensky to the National Museum of Ukraine, where he paid tribute to children killed in the war. He also placed a doll at the children's memorial.
