Yoga craze is growing in America. In America with a population of 33 crore, every fifth person or 6.5 crore people practice yoga. In 2002, only 4% of Americans practiced yoga. According to a Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) survey, 75% of Americans believe yoga is beneficial to their health.
Due to the popularity of yoga in America, its market has reached 1.32 lakh crores. In it, the market for yoga classes was Rs.48 thousand crores and the market for yoga mats and clothing for yoga was Rs.38 thousand crores.

Yoga is also popular among Democratic supporters The yoga craze is more prevalent among Democratic Party supporters. Democrat supporters see it as a tool for health and mental peace, while Trump supporters have mixed opinions about yoga. Some Trump supporters don't believe it's American culture. This is the reason why there are more yoga centers in the eastern and western states of America where the influence of the Democratic Party is more. Over 2,000 large yoga centers have opened over the years.
