White House meeting between Donald Trump and Biden: Biden congratulates Trump on victory; Trump returned to the White House after four years

After winning the US presidential election, Donald Trump arrived at the White House to meet President Biden on Wednesday night. Here both the leaders shook hands with each other. During the meeting, Biden congratulated Trump on his victory in the presidential election. Also reiterated the issue of 'smooth transition' of power.

Donald Trump will be sworn in on January 20. The process of power transfer in the White House has begun. This meeting was held between the two leaders in this regard. Biden sent an invitation to Trump for a meeting. Biden also congratulated Trump on his victory after the results.

It has been a tradition in America that after an election, the incumbent president has a formal meeting with the incoming president at the White House. The meeting is seen as the beginning of the devolution process. However, when Donald Trump lost the presidential election to Joe Biden in 2020, he did not invite Biden for a meeting.

Donald Trump returned to the White House in 2017, nearly four years after leaving the presidency.

Trump's wife Melania was not with him

After Biden invited Trump, First Lady Jill Biden also invited Trump's wife Melania to the White House. However, this time Melania did not go to the White House with Donald Trump, the current first lady hosted the wife of the future president. Even after Trump's victory in 2016, this tradition was followed.

White has also released a statement about not dating Melania Trump. According to the White House, the first lady sent a handwritten letter inviting Melania. But they did not come.

Earlier, during the tenure of former President Barack Obama, the then First Lady Michelle Obama served tea to Melania Trump in the Yellow Oval Room of the White House. In 2016, Trump and Obama met at the White House. The two leaders then discussed for 90 minutes.

Trump included Musk and Ramaswamy in the government

After winning the US presidential election, Donald Trump is busy building his team to run the government. After appointing him to several positions, he has handed over major responsibilities to Tesla chief Elon Musk and Indian-origin businessman Vivek Ramaswamy.

Musk and Ramaswamy will head the Department of Government Efficiency (DoGE). DoGE is a new department, which will provide external advice to the government. Donald Trump has released a statement regarding this.

Trump said-

I am happy to say that these two wonderful Americans will work for my administration to cut bureaucracy, cut costs, eliminate unnecessary regulations, and reorganize federal agencies. This is essential to our 'Save America' agenda.
