Dated- October 18, 2011
Israel released 1027 Palestinian prisoners to free one of its soldiers, Gilad Shalit. The prisoner's number in this 955266978 was, who had been in prison since 1988 on charges of murdering two Israeli soldiers. Israel called the release of this prisoner its biggest mistake.
This prisoner was none other than the most senior leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar. After his release, Israel resumed the search for Sinwar. Which ended abruptly on October 16, 2024. All this happened because of a chance encounter.
What is Chance Encounter, How Israel Tracked and Killed Sinwar, Full Story of Israel's Routine Operation…
Date- October 16 Place: Rafah city in southern Gaza Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Division 162 and 828 Bislamic Brigade were patrolling the Tal al-Sultan area of Rafah. Meanwhile, an Israeli soldier saw a suspicious person entering the building. The soldier informed his commander, after which orders were given to surround the building and open fire.
After some time, he saw through the drone that three people were trying to move from that building to another building. Two persons covering themselves with a sheet were walking ahead, while a third person was behind.
The Israeli army opened fire on the trio again, causing them to separate. Two people went into one building, while the third entered another building. Israeli forces surrounded it.
As the soldiers approached the building, grenades were thrown at them from inside. After this the soldiers retreated. They sent a drone inside the building. The drone spotted an injured man sitting on a sofa inside the building. Her face was covered with a scarf.
When the drone approached him, he tried to knock the drone down by throwing a stick. After this the Israeli army attacked the building with tanks and they retreated. He didn't even know who the person he killed was.
The next morning, Thursday, Israeli soldiers returned to the scene. While scavenging, they found a corpse that was similar to Sinwar. No one believed that the Sinwar that Israel had been looking for for so many years would be found so easily.
On September 23 this year, the Israeli army claimed to have killed Sinwar. However, after a few days news came that he was alive. Because of this, Israel did not immediately confirm his death.
Soldiers first tried to match the body to Sinwar's face. Look at both faces, teeth and watches in hands. Even after this the fingers of the dead body were amputated and sent to Israel for fingerprinting and DNA testing for complete confirmation.
Israeli soldiers identifying Sinwar after his return on October 17.
The soldiers did not initially remove the body, as there might be some explosives. Late on Thursday (17 October), it was reported that the man found dead in the building was Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar.
Whenever Sinwar was seen before, he was seen carrying hostages as shields, but this time he had no hostages with him. It is believed that he was trying to move quietly from Rafah to the northern areas without being noticed, but this proved to be his biggest mistake. The manner in which Sinwar was killed is called a chance encounter.
What is the chance encounter, which took Sinwar's life… Chance Encounter An encounter that you do not expect is called a chance encounter. There are more examples of Chans writing modern stories. One such incident was the impromptu meeting of Apple co-founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. Indeed, Jobs and Wozniak were introduced in 1970 by friend Bill Fernandez. After this both became friends and started Apple company.
Who will take responsibility for Hamas now? Before Sinwar, Israeli forces killed former Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh on July 31 and Hamas military chief Mohammad Daif on July 13. The Israeli army has killed these three leaders in the last 78 days.
In such a situation, the discussion of a new leader in his place in Hamas has started. After Sinwar's death, it is being said that there are some people who can take his place. According to the New York Times, there are four contenders to become the next head of Hamas.
1. Khaled Meshaal- Head of Hamas for 21 years before Haniyeh After Sinwar's death, Khalid Meshaal's claim to succeed him is considered very strong. Meshaal was born on May 28, 1956 in Silwad near Ramallah in the West Bank. He joined the Egyptian Sunni organization 'Muslim Brotherhood' at the age of 15.
When Hamas was formed in 1987, Meshal was included. He became the political head of Hamas in 1996 and held the position until 2017. After this, Honeyhay took his place. Like Haniyeh, Meshal lives in Doha. He lived and worked in Syria between 2004 and 2012, but during this time civil war broke out in Syria.
Syria has a majority Sunni population, while its ruler, Bashar al-Assad, is a Shiite. Hamas is a Sunni organization. In such a situation, Meshaal supported the Sunni group in Syria. This angered President Bashar al-Assad. Meshal had to leave Syria. Since then Meshal has had bad relations with Syria and Iran.
Khalid Meshaal was the political chief of Hamas until 2017.
Israel poisoned and then saved himself, got the name – Zinda Shaheed The world first got to know the power of Meshal in 1997. In fact, Meshal lived in Jordan. In the meantime he was poisoned. Those who administered the poison were Mossad agents. He was caught on the run and it was later revealed that Israel was involved in the incident.
Meanwhile, Meshal was taken to the hospital. His breathing was slowing down. The doctors raised their hands. He said that Meshal's life could not be saved if the antidote was not found early.
After this, King Hussein of Jordan threatened Israel that he would break the peace treaty with Israel if the antidote was not sent before midnight. Not only that, the Mossad agents who gave the poison would be hanged.
At first, Israel denied any involvement in the matter, but when US President Bill Clinton himself convinced Netanyahu, he was forced to send an antidote. Meshal survived.
Later, Netanyahu also went to Jordan and apologized to the King there. This was the first time Israel saved an enemy from death. Since then his name was 'Zinda Shaheed'.
Meshal is the big face of foreign policy Meshaal is the main face of Hamas' foreign policy. He is said to have a charismatic personality. He specializes in diplomacy. Many senior Hamas leaders are under a travel ban, but Meshaal is untouched by it.
There has also been a controversy in India regarding Khalid Mashal. He addressed an online rally organized in support of the Palestinians in October last year. Kerala BJP chief K Surendran was upset with the participation of a senior Hamas leader in the online rally. He demanded legal action against the organizers.
Meshaal is considered to be the exact opposite personality of Yahya Sinwar. This is the reason why it is not made from cinnabar. Iran also does not support Meshaal, even though he is considered the most capable of becoming the head of Hamas.
2. Zahar Jabrin- arranges funds, named Hamas CEO Jabrin was born in 1968 in the West Bank. He joined Hamas in 1987. Jabrin has played a key role in the exchange of prisoners between Palestine and Israel. He was acting as Haniyeh's deputy.
He also oversees Hamas' funding, so he is often called the Hamas CEO. According to the Wall Street Journal report, Western countries, including Israel, have imposed several economic sanctions on Hamas.
Despite this, it manages to fundraise millions of dollars every year. This is not a trivial matter.
Like Sinwar, freed from Israel's possession According to a Daily Mail report, Hamas has over $500 million. Only Barin decides what and how to use this money. Being the head of the economic department in Hamas, he has a very special status. This is the reason why America banned it in 2019.
Jabrin also has good relations with Turkish President Erdogan. Apart from this, it also has good relations with Hezbollah and Iran. Jabrin was arrested in 1996 after killing an Israeli soldier. He was imprisoned for 15 years.
In 2011, he was released along with Sinwar in a prisoner swap between Israeli soldiers. In an interview, Jabarin said that he is affiliated with the political wing of Hamas. It has nothing to do with Al Qasim.
He further said that Israel tries to mix apples and oranges, but the two are different. Can't be one. There is no connection between Al Qasim and Hamas. According to reports, Sinwar and Meshal are big contenders, but their relationship is not good. There is little hope that the two will support each other. Jabrin can benefit from this.
3. Khalil al-Hayya – Wants nothing more than war with Israel Like Jabrin, Khalil al-Hayya was serving as Haniyeh's deputy. Al-Hayya is not in favor of talks with Israel. He believes that the problem of Palestine can be solved only by defeating Israel.
Al-Hayya also supported other factions against Bashar Assad when civil war broke out in Syria in 2011, but has now forged a friendship with the Syrian ruler. Al-Hayya, like Haniyeh, is known for taking strict and balanced measures. His leadership is being appreciated.
According to reports, Hamas will need support from the outside world during these bad times. In such a situation, al-Hayya's role becomes big, because he has good relations with Iran, Turkey, Syria, Qatar and Egypt.
Al-Hayya has good relations with many countries. This is why his claim to the post of Hamas chief is strong.
4. Musa Abu Marzok First Political Bureau Head of Hamas Musa Abu Marzok is one of the founders of Hamas. Abu Barzouk was born on 9 January 1951 in the Rafah refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. Abu's parents were from Yabna and became refugees after the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. Marzouk's brother was also involved in the war against Israel. Marzouk came into contact with Hamas founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin at an early age.
Burjok said after Israel's election in 2019 that Netanyahu does not respect Palestine's borders.
Burjok studied engineering Burjok studied engineering. He was working in Abu Dhabi. From there he started his political career. According to the Council of Europe, he started a branch of the Palestine Muslim Brotherhood organization there. Hamas was formed from this organization.
After this he went to America. Marzok became the first Chairman of the Political Bureau of Hamas in 1992. After this he was the Deputy Chairman of the Political Bureau of Hamas from 1996 to 2013. After this Marzok became Haniyeh's deputy. He handles international relations for Hamas.
Burjok was accused of aiding and abetting terrorists in America. He was imprisoned for 22 months on these charges and sent to Jordan in May 1997. Burjok had to renounce his American citizenship for this, but was also expelled from Jordan due to pressure from Israel, after which he moved to Syria.
