'Unhindered Entry' of Pakistanis, Poisonous Words for India: Will Bangladesh Govt's New Decision Be a Security Challenge for Delhi?

Pakistani citizens can now enter Bangladesh without security clearance. Bangladesh's interim government has abolished the security clearance requirement for Pakistani nationals before applying for visas. According to local media reports, the Security Services Division (SSD) of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Bangladesh informed the Ministry of External Affairs about this.

From 2019, Pakistani nationals were required to obtain a non-objection certificate from the SSD before applying for a Bangladeshi visa. At the same time, the number of visas issued to Indian nationals for Bangladesh has decreased. Dhaka has sent an order to Bangladesh's Kolkata mission in this regard.

India will understand how to develop relations with Bangladesh

Relations between Bangladesh and India continue to rise. Bangladesh's Foreign Adviser Tauheed Hussain also accepted the change. He said-

After August 5, relations with India have changed and this is a reality. I believe that India will understand how to develop relations with Bangladesh in the changed circumstances.

The government of Mohammad Yunus is constantly trying to improve relations with Pakistan. Direct sea connectivity between Pakistan and Bangladesh started only last month. After that, a cargo ship from Karachi, Pakistan arrived at Chittagong port in Bangladesh via the Bay of Bengal.

7 arrested in Bangladesh commission sabotage case On Thursday, the Yunus government recalled two of its diplomats from Kolkata and Tripura. This action has been taken due to the vandalism incident at the Deputy High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala on December 2.

Amid growing tension between the two countries, the Bangladesh government also summoned the Indian diplomat. The Tripura police Suomoto registered a case and arrested seven people involved in the vandalism incident at the Bangladesh mission.

About 50 people broke into the Deputy High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala, Tripura.
