Former US President Donald Trump has threatened to impose double taxes on India if he comes back to power. Trump, the candidate of the Republican Party in the US presidential election, said that China levies 200 percent tax. Brazil also collects huge taxes but among the middle countries India collects the highest taxes. On economic policy at a rally in Detroit, Trump said it was important to impose retaliatory taxes on countries like India to re-enrich the American people.
Trump said that the Harley Davidson company said about doing business in India that the tax in India is up to 150 percent, so very few bikes were sold. In a speech in Detroit, Trump promised to halve electricity rates within a year of becoming president.
Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal taunted about this and said that the trend of freebies has now reached America. Kejriwal said in a social media post that now Trump started promising to cut electricity rates. It is to be noted that Kejriwal's opponents call free electricity and water free in Delhi.
Modi is a great leader, but not reducing taxes: Trump In the meeting in Detroit, Trump said that 'India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a great leader. As a leader he does a good job. Due to Modi's efforts, the relationship between India and America has strengthened. Despite this, Modi does not reduce taxes', Trump mentioned Modi's 2019 Houston trip and said that he got immense support from countless people at the Howdy Modi event.
