Pakistani security forces inspect the blast site in Karachi.
Pakistan is reeling again after two engineers were killed and 10 injured in a fidayeen attack in Karachi on Sunday night. 400 Chinese engineers working in Pakistan have left their country. About 250 Chinese engineers from Balochistan and 150 engineers from Gilgit-Baltistan are leaving for China from Karachi and Islamabad International Airport respectively. The reason for the Chinese engineers to leave Pakistan is that CPEC has stopped work on 8 projects related to power, infrastructure, including the Balochistan region.
Decision: Now China will deploy its army in PoK According to sources, after the Karachi attack, China has now decided to deploy its army in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) this month. Many power projects of China are in PoK. Chinese soldiers will be stationed in the core area of the project.
Investment hopes of the SCO summit have been dashed Pakistan was hoping for foreign investment from the SCO summit to be held on October 15-16. Political stability has been in question since the beginning with daily rallies and demonstrations by Imran supporters. Now, after the Karachi attack, the SCO summit has dashed the hopes of reaping investments of around 2 lakh crore rupees from China, Iran, Russia and Kazakhstan. Let it be known that the Chinese embassy has summoned the interior secretary of Pakistan in Islamabad and reprimanded it.
