Militants got local support in Ganderbal attack: NIA said- also provided vehicle to attackers; They knew that the guards in the camp did not have weapons

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has received important information in the Ganderbal attack case of Jammu and Kashmir. The NIA said on Tuesday that the terrorists received local support for the attack.

On the night of October 20, terrorists attacked a labor camp in Gagangiral area of ​​Ganderbal. Doctor Shahnawaz of Budgam and 6 laborers from Bihar and Punjab were killed in this attack. The Resistance Front (TRF), an outfit of Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the attack.

The NIA suspects that the terrorists got the vehicle for the attack and escape through local support. Reiki was performed before the attack. According to sources, a local of Kulgam had joined Lashkar-e-Taiba. He went missing from his home in 2023. The NIA considers him to be the main accused in the Ganderbal attack. In the CCTV footage, two terrorists have entered the camp. He has not been identified yet.

American M-4 rifle and AK-47 are seen with both these terrorists. These terrorists stayed inside the camp for 7 minutes and escaped after the attack. When NIA shared these pictures with other agencies and interrogated them, one of the terrorists was said to look like a person who went missing from his home in 2023.

Two terrorists came to this camp wearing shawls. He had hidden weapons. While the workers were eating in the mess of the camp, the militants reached there and opened fire on the workers. Apart from the mess, the terrorists fired at two other places.

It was dark at the time of the attack. We heard continuous gunshots. We thought it was fireworks because a wedding ceremony was going on 100 meters away.

This approach road on the National Highway leads to the new tunnel. It was closed after the attack.

TRF 370, which claimed responsibility for the attack, became active after the takedown TRF has been declared a terrorist organization in India. Indian officials say the TRF was created by the Pakistani terrorist outfit Lashkar. Which includes Lashkar and Jaish cadres. This organization is involved in many incidents of killing of Kashmiris, Kashmiri Pandits and Hindus.

The TRF has become more active after the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019. The TRF, not the army, takes responsibility for the attack. Targets Kashmiri Pandits, migrant workers, government officials, leaders and security forces.
