India concerned about security of Indians in Canada: Ministry of External Affairs
Regarding the attack on the Hindu temple in Brampton, Canada, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal, has said, 'Yesterday, extremists and separatists attacked the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton, Ontario, which we strongly condemn. Sergeant Harinder Sohi eventually suspended
The role of the Canadian police in the attack by Khalistanis on Hindu worshipers at the Hindu Sabha temple in Canada has been controversial. A police spokesperson acknowledged the presence of Sohi
The Peel Regional Police officer has been identified as Sergeant Harinder Sohi. In the video, he was seen carrying the flag of Khalistan. It has been learned that Sohi has been receiving constant threats since the suspension, due to which he has been given security. Sohi has been in police service for 18 years. According to media reports, Peel police spokesman Richard Chin said they were aware of a video being shared on social media, where one of their off-duty officers was involved in the demonstration.
According to reports, Chin said, 'We are aware of the video, in which one of our off-duty officers is seen participating in the protest. The officer has been suspended under the Community Safety and Policing Act. We are investigating this video and are unable to provide further information until the investigation is complete.
There have been attacks on Hindu temples in Canada before
This camp was established to meet the needs of Indian citizens. Life certificates were being given in this. According to reports, Khalistanis protesting on the 40th anniversary of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots arrived there and attacked people. The Indian community has been concerned about the targeting of Hindu temples and community members in Canada for some time now.
