Indian man kills Nepalese student in US: Entered room to steal, shot dead when caught

An Indian man has been arrested in America on the charge of killing a Nepali girl. The person has been identified as Bobby Singh Shah (52 years). A Nepali student was shot dead in her flat in Houston, USA. The name of the deceased student is Muna Pandey (21 years). Several bullet marks were found on his body. Police said the accused had entered the flat of a Nepali student with the intention of stealing, but when he was caught, he shot the student dead. Police found Muna's body from his flat on Monday evening. Earlier, the police received a call informing them about this. The police reached the spot and found Muna lying on the bed with her head down. He was shot three times. Police declared him dead. Disclosure 2 days after the murder Two days after the incident, the police found out from the CCTV footage that he died on Saturday itself. In which the accused was seen leaving Muna's apartment. Based on this, the police released Bobby's picture. A day after the photo was released, a man came to the police. He said that the face of the accused is similar to Bobby Shah. He has worked with her in a restaurant. He also gave the address and number of the accused to the police. Police arrested Shah on Monday itself and a case was registered against him on charges of murder. Bobby was produced in court on Friday. There he confessed that he opened the door to Muna by pointing a gun. He was killed before going out on Saturday According to court documents, Muna had planned to go out with friends on Saturday, but was killed before he could. Friends called and messaged him but got no response. A friend of Muna Pandey told the police that a year ago a boy was stalking her. She lived alone in the apartment so she installed a camera in front of the gate. Now the culprit has been identified in the same camera. Muna came to study at Houston Community College in 2021. According to reports, Muna was an only child. Her mother had been trying to contact her daughter for several days but her phone kept switching off. The Nepal Association is working with the Nepalese Consulate to arrange for Muna's mother to be brought to Houston. Funds are also being collected for this.
