India-China agree on new system of patrolling in Ladakh: Both countries can withdraw troops from LAC, avoid Galwan-like clashes

A major agreement has been signed between India and China ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's participation in the BRICS Summit. Both countries have agreed to patrol the Line of Actual Control (LAC). This could resolve the border dispute between the two countries in eastern Ladakh and also reduce the conflict.

Secretary of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Vikram Minshree, gave information about this agreement on Monday. He said that the officials of India and China were talking about this issue for the last several weeks. Army officers were also involved in the talks.

According to reports, the two countries may withdraw their troops after agreeing on a new system of patrolling. Currently soldiers are not allowed to go to patrol points in Dapsang Maidan Demchok. The New Testament deals with these issues. With this conflict like Galwan of 2020 can be avoided.

However, on 25 September at the Asia Society Policy Institute in New York, he clarified his statement that 75% of disputes would be resolved. He said, 'I said this only in reference to the retreat of the troops.' here…

Efforts to end tension with meetings continue In early September, the Ministry of External Affairs gave an update on the current status of India-China relations. Efforts are on to resolve tensions through a working mechanism for continuous dialogue and consultation and coordination (WMCC) meetings, he said.
