Due to the storm, states of emergency have been declared in Florida and the surrounding states of Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Alabama. About 1 crore 20 lakh people are affected by it. The storm is likely to spread to other states, affecting 5 crore people.
More than 1000 flights have been canceled due to the storm. Apart from this, more than 4 thousand flights were delayed.

The storm was kept in category number-4 Helen is one of the most powerful hurricanes to hit the US this year. It has been placed in category-4. It is considered destructive. Power outages hit Florida, affecting nearly two million people. Florida Governor De-Santis had already advised people living in low-lying areas to evacuate.
4 people died due to the storm According to the Independent, Helen caused a trolley parked in a field in Wheeler County, Georgia to overturn and land on the highway. In which two people died.
