Hezbollah has called for a ceasefire amid Israeli attacks in Lebanon. According to a CNN report, this is the first time that Hezbollah has publicly endorsed a ceasefire and made no condition to stop the war in Gaza.
Hezbollah, which supports Hamas, launched an airstrike on Israel on October 8 last year. Naeem Qasim, deputy chief of Hezbollah, gave a speech on Tuesday on the one-year anniversary of the incident.
Qassim said Hezbollah supports the ceasefire efforts by Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri. Once there is a ceasefire then other matters will be discussed. Hezbollah has previously said it will stop attacks on Israel only when there is a ceasefire in Gaza.
Earlier, Naeem Qasim gave a speech on September 30. In which he talked about continuing the war with Israel.
