'Hasina removed as part of conspiracy': Mohammad Yunus says student leaders protested with planning, they will change the country

Bangladesh's Chief Counsel Mohammad Yunus has admitted that there was a conspiracy to oust Sheikh Hasina from power. Addressing a meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative in the US, Yunus praised the student leaders of Bangladesh. He said that he is preparing a new form of Bangladesh.

Addressing the gathering, Yunus said, the demonstration was a well-planned movement, in which no single person was made a leader and was not arrested. This inspired the youth of the entire country and made the movement more powerful.

Yunus then introduced his assistant Mahfooz Alam in the meeting and said that we are both responsible for this. According to the Dhaka Tribune, the chief counsel said that if you look at the faces of these student leaders, they look like ordinary youth. But when he starts speaking, you will tremble. He shook the entire country with his speeches and his dedication.

This movement did not start suddenly. It was prepared with utmost care. Under this, no one knows who this leader was.

Yunus then congratulated all the student leaders and wished them all the best for the future. According to the report, the chief counsel also mentioned the attacks on student leaders during Sheikh Hasina's government. He said that these leaders stood bravely despite firing. Former US President Bill Clinton was present by Yunus' side during his speech.

Sheikh Hasina resigned on August 5 Former PM Sheikh Hasina came to India on August 5 after the violence in Bangladesh. He had resigned from his post. On August 22, the interim government also canceled the diplomatic passports of Hasina and her family members.

Following this, an interim government was formed in Bangladesh on 8 August. Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus was made the chief adviser to this government.

Sheikh Hasina arrived at Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad from Dhaka along with her sister on the evening of August 5.

More than 1000 people died in the violence Noorjahan Begum, head of the Ministry of Health in the interim government of Bangladesh, said on August 29 that more than 1,000 people had died in anti-government protests. While more than 400 people lost their eyesight. Many have lost vision in one or both eyes. Anti-government protests began in Bangladesh on 16 July 2024. It was the country's biggest anti-government protest since 1971.
