On January 31, 2024, American and Israeli intelligence agencies thought they were going to catch something that would allow them to stop the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza. They were looking for Yahya Sinwar, the world's most wanted man and the leader of Hamas in Gaza. Israeli Special Forces commandos enter a tunnel in southern Gaza. They received a tip from American and Israeli intelligence agencies that Yahya Sinwar was hiding in a tunnel in southern Gaza. The commandos enter the tunnel with full preparation, they reach the part of the tunnel where Yahya Sinwar was found to be. But as soon as the commandos reach there, they face a setback. Yahya Sinwar left the place before the commando reached there. From the spot, the Israeli commandos recovered some documents of Yahya Sinwar and about Rs. 8 crore worth of Israeli currency notes have been found. It was Yahya Sinwar who planned the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7 last year. Yahya Sinwar became the new head of Hamas following the death of former Hamas chief Haniyeh in Iran last month. Sinwar is adept at escaping Israel has tried several times to kill and capture Yahya Sinwar, one of the most important leaders of Hamas, but he has managed to escape each time. According to American and Israeli officials, Sinwar stopped using electronic communication systems after the war. Officials believe that Sinwar uses a human courier system to deliver his messages. He couriers his messages through people. However, officials have no idea how this human courier system works. This system still remains a mystery. Like Laden Uses Playbook Sinwar created a playbook for Osama bin Laden, the leader of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda, to send his message from one place to another. After the 9/11 attacks in America, he went into hiding from America using this playbook. The playbook includes information on the secret hideouts of terrorists, their modus operandi and the organization's top leaders. According to Israeli intelligence, Yahya Sinwar also uses the playbook for Hamas operations in Gaza. However, in his later years, bin Laden became isolated and confined himself to a limited circle, but Yahya Sinwar is still conducting military operations in Gaza. Hamas representatives involved in the Gaza ceasefire deal being negotiated in Qatar and Egypt say they can reach any conclusion on the deal only after getting Yahya Sinwar's permission. Israel forms task force to capture Sinwar A task force has been formed with Israel's domestic intelligence agency and American intelligence. The task force is tasked with disrupting Sinwar's communications system. Apart from this, America has also given Israel a radar capable of underground scanning. US officials speaking to The New York Times said that if Yahya Sinwar is captured or killed in the attack, it would be a major victory for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In such a situation, it is possible that Netanyahu could end the Israeli offensive in Gaza and withdraw the army. Representatives of Qatar, Egypt, the US and Israel negotiating a cease-fire in Gaza say it has become difficult to talk to Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar. According to officials, Yahya Sinwar used to respond within days, but it has been taking longer for the past few months. Sinwar emerges from tunnels even during war Yahya Sinwar lived among the people before the Israel-Hamas war. He often gave interviews on TV. He also used to come to present awards, but since the start of the war, Sinwar's lifestyle has completely changed. Sinwar and his family shifted to the tunnels of the Gaza Strip. In the first week of the war, the Israeli army learned of Sinwar's presence in the tunnels of Gaza City. The army had also targeted this area several times. When Israeli forces entered the tunnels of Gaza City, they found a video. In this video, Yahya Sinwar was seen coming out of the tunnel. In the early days of the war, Sinwar spoke to Haniyeh, the former head of Hamas, by mobile and satellite phone. Israeli and American intelligence agencies also traced these phone calls. However, agencies failed to trace Sinwar's location. Israeli officials believe that Sinwar has come out of the tunnel several times. He has information on the locations of the Israeli army. On the other hand, the network of tunnels spread across Gaza is causing trouble for the Israeli army. In such a situation, the US is now preparing a map of the tunnel using underground radar.
