Former British PM's book praises Modi: Leader of change; Wrote – Nehru used to say that India will always support Russia

Former British PM Boris Johnson has written a book on his life events. The name of this book is 'Unleashed'. In this memoir, he has praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He wrote that Modi is the change maker leader we need.

Johnson has written a chapter for India in the book. The chapter is titled 'Britain and India'. In which he has told about the relations between the two countries. His book was released on October 10. It is available now in UK bookstores and online.

Johnson has written special things about his life in the book.

The first meeting with Modi was powerful According to news agency PTI, Johnson wrote that he felt a unique energy when he met Modi for the first time. He wrote that he met Modi for the first time in November 2015 when he was Mayor of London.

Johnson wrote-

We were near Tower Bridge in London. There was a crowd of Modi supporters in front. Then Modi held my hand and raised it. He said something in Hindi. Although I could not understand it, I felt a unique energy. He has been my friend ever since.

Boris Johnson came to India in 2022, where he spun a charkha at the Sabarmati Ashram.

Wanted to explain relations with Russia Johnson credited himself with initiating a free trade agreement between the two countries. Johnson visited India in January 2022. He said the visit was very successful and boosted his morale. Johnson said that during the visit he also wants to discuss the dispute between Ukraine and Russia with PM Modi.

A month after Johnson's visit to India, Russia attacked Ukraine. Johnson wrote that he understood India's policy of non-alignment. Russia has decades-old relations with India. India is dependent on Russia for hydrocarbons, but I think it is time for a change.

Russian missiles are proving less effective. In such a scenario, would India want to depend on Russia for its military weapons? He wrote that the British Ministry of Defense has always been concerned about the growing proximity to Russia. But I overcame these problems. I have agreements with India to work together to increase military assistance.

Nehru said that India will always support Russia Johnson also praises former Queen Elizabeth of Britain in the book and writes stories related to her. He wrote that Jawaharlal Nehru told Elizabeth that India would always support Russia. Some things will never change.

Johnson loves Indian weddings Johnson wrote in his book that he loves Indian weddings. He has attended many Indian weddings, as his ex-wife Marina Wheeler is from India. Wheeler's mother was born in India. Johnson also included British Indians in his cabinet when he was PM. He made Rishi Sunak and Priti Patel part of his cabinet. Later Rishi also became the Prime Minister of Britain.
