Canadian police have arrested a young man in connection with firing outside Punjabi singer AP Dhillon's house. Canadian police believe that the second absconding accused in the case has fled to India. The incident took place almost two months ago on September 2. Since then, Canadian police are busy investigating the matter.
According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the arrested suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Abjit Kingra of Winnipeg. Accused Abhijit Kingra has been arrested from Ontario. He will be arraigned in Ontario court on Friday.
Police said an arrest warrant has been issued for the second suspect. The second accused has been identified as 23-year-old Vikram Sharma, who lived in Winnipeg but police believe is now in India.
