The controversy started due to a Facebook post by a Muslim businessman According to reports, Muslim businessman Usman Ali called ISKCON a terrorist organization on Facebook. This angered the Hindus. They protested in front of Usman's shop in Hazari Lane area of ​​Chittagong on November 5.

The army lathi-charged the protesters. This made them even more angry. In which 12 policemen and many Hindus were injured. According to reports, after this, suddenly at night, the police and army reached Hazari Lane and thrashed the local Hindus. About 25,000 people live in the Hazari Gali area, 90% of whom are Hindus.

At the same time, ISKCON has claimed that it has no involvement in the Hazari Lane incident. He has also demanded the security of his devotees.
