Everything's Possible With Musk!: Trump Creates New Department to Advise Government, Assigns Indian-Origin to Reduce Missing Spending in America

After winning the US presidential election, Donald Trump is busy building his team to run the government. After appointing him to several positions, he has handed over major responsibilities to Tesla chief Elon Musk and Indian-origin businessman Vivek Ramaswamy.

Musk and Ramaswamy will head the Department of Government Efficiency (DoGE). DoGE is a new department, which will provide external advice to the government. Donald Trump has released a statement regarding this.

Trump said-

I am happy to say that these two wonderful Americans will work for my government to eliminate bureaucracy, reduce wasteful spending, eliminate unnecessary regulations, and reorganize federal agencies. This is essential to our 'Save America' agenda.

Along with this, Trump has also included Fox News host Pete Hegseth in his cabinet. According to the Washington Post, he has been made the Defense Minister.

Trump said – this section could become the Manhattan Project Trump said in a statement regarding the DoGE department that the new system will create fear among people who waste government money. Republican leaders have long dreamed of fulfilling the DoGE purpose. It could be the Manhattan Project of our time.

The Manhattan Project was actually a project of the US government, which aimed to work with Britain and Canada to develop an atomic bomb before Germany's Nazi army.

Trump also said that the DoGE's tenure will end on July 4, 2026. On receiving the new responsibility, Musk said – We are not going to be gentle. Commenting on Vivek Ramaswamy's post, he said that we will not take it lightly. We will work seriously.

Musk said – the new department will save the government 2 trillion dollars Musk said he would be able to cut government spending by at least $2 trillion (168 lakh crore) through the new department. However, some experts are calling it impossible. According to the Washington Post, Musk can only do this if he cuts the defense budget or important programs like Social Security.

Trump proposed the creation of the DoGE in early September. Earlier in August, he said he would consider giving Musk a cabinet post or an advisory role in his administration if he were to become president. After this, Musk said that he is ready to take on this responsibility.

Why did Musk-Ramaswamy get this responsibility? Musk, the world's richest man, played a big role in Trump's campaign. He was the first prominent businessman to openly campaign for Trump. According to reports, Musk has spent over Rs 900 crore on Trump's campaign.

Vivek Ramaswamy is the founder of a pharmaceutical company. He contested the party primary against Trump. He later withdrew the nomination and endorsed Trump. Since then he has been playing a major role in Trump's campaign.
