7 October 2023 17 October 2024 In one year and ten days, a whole black cycle is ending. It is not yet certain whether this black cycle will stop. Israel has hinted that peace will be established in the Middle East but has set conditions for it. Hello, One year and ten days ago a Hamas leader named Yahya Sinwar attacked Israel killing 1200 people. This was the biggest attack on Israel since its creation. Hamas took 251 hostages. A year later, Hamas still has 101 hostages from 23 countries. What happened? Date: October 16 Location: Rafah city in southern Gaza Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Division 162 and 828 Bislamic Brigade were patrolling the Tal al-Sultan area of Rafah. Meanwhile, the Israeli soldier saw a suspicious person entering the building. The soldier reported to his commander. Orders were given to surround the building and open fire. A short time later, an Israeli soldier saw through a drone three people trying to move from that building to another building. Two persons were walking ahead covering themselves with a sheet so that they could not be identified and the third person was behind. The Israeli army opened fire on the trio again, causing them to separate. Two people went into one building, while the third entered another building. Israeli soldiers surrounded him. As the soldiers approached the building, grenades were thrown at them from inside. After this the soldiers retreated. They sent a drone inside the building. The drone spotted an injured man sitting on a sofa inside the building. Her face was covered with a scarf. When the drone approached him, he tried to break the drone by throwing a stick. After this, the Israeli army attacked the building with tanks. Little did the Israeli soldiers know that the man sitting on the sofa and killed in the attack was none other than Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar. Who was Hamas Chief Yahya Sinwar? On October 7, 2023, when the terrorist group Hamas shocked the world with a major attack on Israel, Israel first suspected Yahya Sinwar. Yahya Sinwar was the dangerous chief of Hamas. Israel had been after him for a year but he was not coming to hand. Finally, Israel has called its end. Yahya Sinwar was considered the second chief of Hamas after Ismail Haniyah. Ismail Haniya was also assassinated by Israel in July this year. After this Yahya took over the command of Hamas. Israel knew that Sinwar was hiding underground in a tunnel in Gaza. Sinwar did not talk to anyone, because he was afraid that if he spoke to anyone, he would be tracked down by Israel. Yahya Sinwar, also known as Abu Ibrahim, was born in the Khan Yunis refugee camp located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. Yahya's parents were from Ashkelon. But when Israel was founded in 1948 and thousands of Palestinians were expelled from their ancestral homes, Yahya's parents also became refugees. Palestinians call it 'Al-Nakba', meaning the catastrophe. Yahya Sinwar did his early education at Boys' Secondary School in Khan Younis. After this he graduated in Arabic from the Islamic University of Gaza. His mentality has already been anti-Israel. He was associated with the organization since the founding of Hamas. Yahya Sinwar was first arrested by Israel in 1982. At that time he was only 19 years old. Yahya was accused of being involved in 'Islamic activities'. He was arrested again in 1985. Around this time Yahya won the trust of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, the founder of Hamas. This is why Yahya got a high status in Hamas. Two years after Hamas was founded in 1987, Yahya established its most dangerous internal security organization, al-Majd. At that time Yahya was only 25 years old. Sinwar's Attitude and Mindset Remains of the Taliban Sinwar already had a brutal mentality. If someone watches an ugly video, he will give strict punishment. His mentality was that the people of Gaza should do as he said. Yahya has killed many with his own hands and he was very proud of it. Yahya once buried a man suspected of spying for Israel by his own kinsman and dug the ground with a spoon rather than a shovel to bury him alive. Yahya was a person who kept many bullies and other people around him. People were very afraid of him so I had to live together. Sinwar Yahya spent 22 years in an Israeli prison Most of Sinwar's youth went to prison. Spent nearly 22 years in Israeli prisons between 1988 and 2011. It seems that during his time in prison he was kept in solitary confinement and for these reasons he became more radicalized. Yahya managed to establish his dominance within the prison by force of authority. He emerged as the leader of the prisoners. He used to negotiate with the prison authorities on behalf of the inmates. Yahya was cunning, cunning. He was a man who knew when and how to mesmerize others and keep them under control. When a prisoner exchange agreement was reached in 2011, Israel released 1,027 Gazan prisoners in exchange for one of its soldiers, named Gilad Shalit. There was also one Yahya Sinwar. By then, Israel had relinquished its control over the Gaza Strip and Gaza was in the hands of Hamas. Hamas Beats Yasser Arafat's Leaders to Death An election was held in Gaza between Yasser Arafat's government and Hamas, in which Hamas won the election. After winning the election, Hamas eliminated the leaders of Yasser Arafat's al-Fatah party. Many al-Fatah leaders were thrown from tall buildings. When Yahya Sinwar returned to Gaza, he was accepted as a leader by the people. Hamas leaders and the people of Gaza also believed that Yahya would lead Gaza to the heights and sound the horn against Israel as he spent 22 years in an Israeli prison. Sinwar means 'Butcher of Khan Yunus' In 2013, Yahya Sinwar was elected as a member of the Hamas Political Bureau in the Gaza Strip and became its chief in 2017. Yahya Sinwar's younger brother Muhammad also began to play a larger role in Hamas. In 2014, Israel killed Muhammad, but he was also said to have survived. Several media reports claimed that Muhammad was still alive and active in the military wing of Hamas. Muhammad is said to be hiding in the tunnels of Gaza and may have played a major role in the October 7 attack. The people of Gaza tremble at the name of Sinwar. Because he would have killed him at any time. Sinwar was also called the 'Butcher of Khan Yunis' due to his cruel and violent nature. Who is responsible for Hamas now? Before Sinwar, the Israeli army killed former Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh on July 31 and Hamas military chief Mohammed Daif on July 13. The Israeli army has killed these three leaders in the last 78 days. In such a situation, the discussion of a new leader in his place in Hamas has started. After Sinwar's death, it is being said that there are some people who can take his place. According to a New York Times report, there are four contenders to become the next chief of Hamas. 1. Khalid Meshaal : When Hamas was formed in 1987, Meshaal was also included. He became the political chief of Hamas in 1996 and held the position until 2017. He then succeeded Haniyeh after his death. Meshal lives in Doha. 2. Jehar Jabrin : Jabrin has played a major role in the exchange of prisoners between Palestine and Israel. He served as Haniyeh's deputy. He collects funds for Hamas, which is why he is also called the CEO of Hamas. 3. Khalil al-Hayya : Khalil al-Hayya also served as Haniyeh's deputy. He is not in favor of talks with Israel. He believes that the problem of Palestine can be solved only by defeating Israel. 4. Musa Abu Marjok Hamas : Marjok started the Palestine Muslim Brotherhood organization in Abu Dhabi. Hamas was formed from this organization. After this Marjok went to America. Caught in terrorist activities there and jailed for 22 months. America evacuated his country and he came to Gaza. Abu Marjok handles international relations with Hamas. What did world leaders say after Sinwar's death? And finally, Aam Aadmi Party's one-time Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain has been released from jail for two years. All these Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia have gone to jail when Chief Minister Kejriwal was in money laundering case and Satyendra Jain was the first to go to jail. It is the last to get rid of it. Tune in from Monday to Friday at 8 PM Editor's View… (Richters: Yashpal Bakshi)
