The storm, originating from Kutch in India, transformed into Cyclone Asna as soon as it reached the Arabian Sea. Now it is moving towards Pakistan. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued a cyclone warning today i.e. Friday morning. Kutch had a low pressure area for the past several days. Due to this, there was heavy rain with strong winds in Pakistan's Sindh and Gujarat. Schools and colleges were closed in Sindh due to heavy rains. The PMD has predicted heavy rain with lightning in the next 24 hours. Cyclone Asna will cross the coastal areas of Pakistan and move towards Oman. Karachi winds up to 65 km/h Cyclone winds up to 65 km/h in Pakistan's coastal city of Karachi. Cyclone Asana is currently 170 km from Karachi. Pakistan has named it Asana. Warning issued to fishermen The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a warning to fishermen in Sindh and Balochistan provinces due to the possibility of cyclone and heavy rains. They have been advised to avoid going to sea till September 1. The Meteorological Department has also asked local residents to avoid unnecessary movement. After 48 years, cyclone threat in Arabian sea in August After 48 years, a cyclonic storm has occurred in Arabian sea in August. Earlier in August 1976 there was a cyclonic storm in the Arabian Sea. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned today that it will turn into a cyclone in the next 12 hours.
